"what have you prepared for the Deen of Allah?" (part1)

It's of no doubt that we rate the sahabas and the righteous predecessors to a high degree of respect and honour. Why do you think it is so?

It's very simple. It's because they made greater contributions to uplift the Deen in whichever way they can.

Take a look at the mujahirun. They left their wealth, their businesses, their land and their families to follow the prophet salaLahu alayhim wasalam to Medina. It takes only a strong Iman to do such a thing.
By dissecting the lives of each of the sahaba, they is something of awe in it. This is based on the contributions that they made.

Look at Abu-Dharr Al-Ghifarri who after accepting Islam went back to his tribe and reverted most of them to Islam. This was a tribe of highway robbers, thieves and killers that had given up on those activities and became Muslims preaching to people about peace and justice.

What about Saad bn Muaz who when he died, the Arsh of Allah shook.

What about the one who angels would greet on the street.

Some of us have this wrong notion that If you carry out your ibadah of fasting, praying, doing nawafils and Ma sha Allah, that is all. But I hate to break it to you that that is not all.

Know that all your five daily prayers, you Ramadan fast, your night prayers,  your eating with right hand, your sleeping on the right, are all about you and non of them directly contributes to the uplifting of the Deen.

You need to do more. Islam needs your contributions. You can't just sit and watch
So how can you contribute?

1. Let Islam show: in all your actions, let the Deen be shown. Let people really see the Islam you represent from your appearance. Dress Muslim. Speak Muslim by making sure that the words that come out are of truth and justice.

One of the person that is worthy of mention is King AbduLlah of Jordan. During the UN General Assembly he quoted verses of Quran. This is in front of world leaders and the world.

Let us work in our capacity to display  Islam out to the world.

2. Look for specific problems and find a solution to it: what are some of the problems that the Muslim ummah is facing in your locality or the world at large? Identify it and brainstorm ideas for solving them.

For example if you live in a place where finding halal restaurants are hard, you can create an app that would make it easier for Muslims to locate such restaurants that are near to them.

In some parts of the Muslim world, masajids are many but centres are less. If there is a local problem among Muslims in your society, say marital, you can set up an organization that is aimed at solving such problems.

You need to sit down an think deep of the problem and deeper of solutions.

3. Speak up. Write. We need to speak up and write about the authentic message of the religion of Islam so that people would not have a misconception thrown at their faces.
Shaytan has gathered his armies, from among the non-Muslims and (unfortunately) among the Muslims whose aim are to tarnish the haqq of Allah. We shouldn't fold our hands and watch such a thing happen. We need to try and ensure that we block their threats.
We can do so by creating YouTube videos, writing blog posts, writing articles, organizing lectures and many more.

4. Share : the prophet salaLahu alayhim wasalam has informed us that whenever someone does a good deed because of a push from you, you would get a share of the reward.

Don't forget to share this article as it may encourage someone to take action.
