"This may sound strange but Abu Hanifa........."
No need to bore you with the details but the following is the sequence of events that took place.
Zubaida tells her family.
Family meets Abu-Hanifa
Abu-Hanifa passes the hot seat
Permission granted.
Abu-Hanifa gets Ablah's details
They start calling and chatting with each other.
The marriage of Zubaida took place as planned. In attendance were Abu-Hanifa and Shamsu. When Ablah came out to serve food and she saw Abu-Hanifa for the first the ever in real life, she ran back swiftly into her house out of shyness. (Awwhh, I feel so jealous already).
Abu Hanifa and Ablah had been communicating with each other for some weeks but there was still one problem. A very important missing link.
Ablah never knew she was going to fall in love like. Well, she didn't yet have a plan of how things were going to work out but as it turns out, her heart was beating for Abu-Hanifa. She was always eager to hear his "Assalamu alaykum" in the evenings when he called. She knew exactly when he always called. She was always clutching at her phone waiting for the call to enter. What an amazing phase she was passing through.
As the days went by , it turned to weeks.
The M - day,
That night, Abu-Hanifa had called late. She was almost panicking. She waited a few more minutes but she was running out of patience already. She called his number over and over again but he didn't call back. What had happened? She wondered. A few minutes later again she called again but there was no response. "Ya Allah .....", she began to pray.
Ring. Ring. Came in the call.
" what happened to you? I have been calling you but -", asked Ablah in a trembling voice.
"I am so so sorry. I was caught up in a meeting and I left my phone in the room.", Abu Hanifa chipped in before she could finish her sentence.
" And that reminds me. I was hoping we could meet in sha Allah tomorrow. I would drop by around Zuhr. So what do you say? ", Abu Hanifa asked.
" No problem", she answered.
The morning of the Meeting day was when her head replayed back the events of the previous day.  She and Abu-Hanifa were actually going to meet face to face. She screamed in her head. "Oh my God, what am I going to do?"
Well, the meeting did take place.
At first, Ablah was shy and reserved only saying a few words. She was even shy to look up at his face.It was awkward because Abu-Hanifa did most of the talking. He didn't care about Ablah not putting much in the conversation. However, as time went by, Ablah started to losen up slowly until she started to actively participate in the diacussion.
The call to prayer signified the call to the end of the meeting. They were both surprised that two hours had gone by because they were so much enjoying the conversation. He had to leave but Ablah was reluctant to let him go.
A few months later, they broke up.
